What to expect in a service

Visitors are always welcome to our Services. Here's a summary of what you can expect at each one.

During the current Covid restrictions, the Sunday 7pm service is not being held yet.

The lunchtime 12:15pm Holy Communion services in the Chapel have started on Mondays and Fridays.

8:00am    Holy Communion

This often takes place in the Christ the King Chapel at the back of the Cathedral and at present follows the Book of Common Prayer, a short sermon and one hymn to end the Service. A friendly group attend and it is followed by tea & coffee.

10:00am   Choral Eucharist with Children's Church

The printed weekly Service Bulletin contains the entire Service including hymns and prayers and instructions. You collect this on the way in or download on the website. Sit in pews anywhere within body of the Cathedral. The service begins & ends with a procession of robed choir and clergy and lasts about 70 minutes. It is followed by tea & coffee. Children aged 5-12 yrs can attend Children's Church for the entire Service.
