20 Sept 2024, 1:30 pm – 1:40 pmThe Cathedral bells will ring at 1:30pm on Friday 20 September to welcome the return of 90,000 godwits migrating from Alaska to NZ. This is a sign of welcome and congratulations for accomplishing the 12,000km non-stop flight, the longest in the natural world with the fastest birds taking 9-10 days.
