The Nelson Youth Choir (NYC) is an auditioned choir that was formed at the beginning of 2020. They currently rehearse on Tuesdays from 4pm to 5.30pm at Greenmeadows and regularly perform for the local community, offering a range of styles from musical theatre, classical choral music (secular and non-secular), gospel, jazz, traditional Waiata and repertoire by New Zealand composers.
NYC is an SATB mixed choir for any young person between 12-24 years old in the Nelson Tasman region, with the aim of connecting people who wish to sing harmony choral pieces and foster their shared love of music.
