About this concert
Nelson Bays Harmony has around 45 women singers of all ages and backgrounds. We sing unaccompanied 4-part harmony, in the barbershop style. Barbershop music is arranged to produce beautiful ringing chords that are a buzz to sing and to listen to!
Our repertoire includes modern a cappella songs, show tunes, beautiful ballads, and of course, numerous Christmas carols!
As part of the Nelson performing arts scene, you may have seen us singing carols for Uniquely Nelson on Nelson city streets in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
We especially enjoy taking part in the popular Christmas Tree Festival each year and appreciate the wonderful acoustics of Nelson’s Christ Church Cathedral.
